Crowns and Bridges in Laurel, MD

The Procedure for Dental Crowns

Getting dental crowns takes a couple office visits. First, Dr.Shawn will take X-rays of your teeth and determine if your roots and jaw bone are ready for a crown. Some patients with advanced tooth decay may need to have a root canal first. Once you’re cleared for dental crowns, this is what happens:

Your teeth are numbed for your comfort.

A small amount of enamel is removed from the surface areas of your teeth to accommodate the dental crowns.

Impressions of your teeth are made and customized dental crowns are developed in about three weeks.

Temporary dental crowns are fitted until your next appointment.

When your dental crowns are ready, Dr.Shawn will make sure your teeth are ready, and he will permanently affix your new crowns.

The Procedure for Dental Bridges

Getting dental bridges take a couple office visits. First, Dr.Shawn will take X-rays of your teeth and determine if your roots and jaw bone are ready for a dental bridge.

To accommodate dental bridges, the two anchor teeth that support them (the abutments) are shaped by removing a small amount of enamel from the sides.

Impressions of your teeth are made and a customized dental bridge is developed in about three weeks.

Dr.Shawn will fit you with a temporary dental bridge until your next visit.

When your dental bridge is ready, Dr.Shawn will make sure your teeth are prepared to support it before permanently anchoring it in place.

Cannot recommend Laurel Pines and Dr. Samad highly enough. I came in on a Sunday with a dental emergency (an implant I had gotten from another surgeon had been placed incorrectly, and was being rejected from my body thus causing an immense amount of pain) and I was seen immediately. Dr. Samad and his colleagues not only diagnosed the issue right away, but they also saw to it that I was seen for a corrective surgery within the same week.

First off, I never give anyone 5 stars, however, on a day like today I am. I was not paid to write this nor do I work for the company. I am usually the skeptic when it comes to those things so I want to make it known. I am a customer in need of some major help for my other half. This company is very professional, courteous, clean and respectful. I really appreciate Tammy and staff (forgot the young lady's name at the front desk along with Tammy).

Came in for an emergency root canal on a Saturday afternoon . Dr. Samad and all the staff were amazing. They were very supportive, willing to answer all questions and I could tell they genuinely wanted to help me get better. I highly recommend and they truly deserve 5 stars because 5 star service is what I received.

Dr. Samad is awesome! He is personable, attentive and honest. Excellent service from Tammy in the front office as well. I am excited to be a part of this office long term.

Dr. Samead and Tammy went above and beyond for me when I called with a dental emergency. They took their entire Saturday to help me and I'm in love with the results! Highly recommend !

Dr. Samad and his team we're absolutely amazing. I was nervous about my procedure and didn't know what to expect. They made me so comfortable while I was there. Today is my first day in a long time with no pain! I am very thankful and grateful for they work they've done.
